About the Author
Debi Pearl grew up during the 1960s at the height of the hippie revolution and the Jesus Movement. The forced draft due to the Vietnam War brought a sense of eternity to the youth, provoking them to seriously consider their souls. It was a time of a great move of the Spirit of God. As a teenager, dressed in tie-dye tee shirt and long drooping peasant skirt, she stood on the highways and byways sharing the gospel and seeing miracle after miracle of God’s amazing grace. Much of what you will read in her work reflects this glorious time.
She married her life mate, Michael Pearl, in 1971. For the first fifteen years of their life together they worked as professional artists while ministering to the military. About 23 years ago the Pearls moved to rural Tennessee, where they continued to minister by holding Bible studies in local homes, which eventually led to regular meetings of the local body of believers and the starting of the prison ministry where Mike still ministers every Saturday. God eventually led Mike and Debi into the ministry of writing on child training and family relationships. He has greatly blessed this work.
Prior to authoring The Vision, her first novel in a planned series, Debi has authored or co-authored with Michael five previous books. Debi’s last book, Created To Be His Help Meet, has been extremely successful worldwide. To date over one million of her books have been sold in several different languages.
The Pearls’ prolific writing ministry resulted in the formation of No Greater Joy Ministries (NGJ), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit ministry. The web address is www.nogreaterjoy.org. The Ministry has active distributors in fourteen countries and all six major continents.
The largest project that NGJ has ever been involved in is the translation of the illustrated Bible storybook Good and Evil into 100 languages. To date Good and Evil is in print in 25 languages, with another 50 languages in the translation and publication process. Witnessing God’s eternal story of redemption going into obscure languages through Good and Evil inspired her novel, The Vision. Good and Evil is available in full color on the NGJ website.
In addition to the child training ministry, the prison ministry, missions, and Bible studies, the Pearls enjoy an active family life. They have been married 38 years and have five children, fourteen grandchildren and more on the way.
